Working with academic, public, and private sector collaborators, my current research brings together diverse sectors to minimize human-wildlife conflict in such a way that promotes food security for residents in rural areas.
In 2025, students in my non-profit studies class wrote a successful grant to support a local organization in their efforts to minimize human-wildlife conflict.
Identifying best practices, consulting stakeholders, and, I used applied qualitative methods to inform the future mission and legal structure of the organization.
In 2023, I mentored a student assistant as we hosted a focus group to facilitate decision-making for future growth for a local organization.
To enhance the programming of a local non-profit organization, I help chair a team who puts together an award-winning event that brings together and inspires students and diverse organizations in Vancouver, BC.
Over the last four years, each Spring my students work together with the United Nations Association of Vancouver to host a networking event for future change-makers.
